We were talking earlier about restaurants in the Languedoc and were talking about how staid the French are when it comes to cooking and the way they still think they have the best cooking in the world. I remember Robert saying that the Japanese only eat the way they do because they don't have access to French cooking! I've met French men who think they are great cooks and can remember the only two meals that they have ever cooked in their lives!
They may have had cook food in the past but standards are slipping and so many people don't have a clue how to cook anything.
